What is a credit report?

A credit report represents a comprehensive credit profile of a borrower. This includes, for example, personal information (e.g. borrowers name, ID number, date of birth etc.) and a credit summary (e.g. credit accounts held by borrower, whether accounts are current/past due and a record of recent credit enquiries made about the borrower)


How do I get a My CRIF Credit bureau Report & Score ?

You can get your credit report in 3 simple steps :-

1:Go to CRIF HighMark CIR Portal and fill up your personal details
2:Pay for instant report or choose free option
3:Authenticate yourself to download the report


How do I get a copy of My CHM Credit bureau Report ?

You need to send a mail request to our crifcare@crifhighmark.com with subject your report ID and ask for a copy of your CHM bureau report.


If I do not agree with the information of my credit report,what do I need to do?

If there is any information you are disputing on your credit profile or want to be updated / removed, you need to drop a mail to our crifcare@crifhighmark.com with your report id in subject, provide all your observation and. there is no cost and free of charge


What is default?

A default means you are in default of your obligations i.e. you have failed to make the payment as per your agreement.


Why do credit grantors need to check my credit profile?

In order to: Allow credit providers to assess how you have repaid and managed your debt Allow the credit provider to evaluate payment history Allow the credit provider to lessen risk thus lessening the price of goods. Allow the credit provider to determine whether the consumer will be in a position to repay the debt.


What should you do if you have a default listing on your credit profile?

Make payment arrangements. Once you have settled your outstanding debt: Ask the credit provider to send a your information to the CHM Credit bureau to update the default information. Request a copy of the written instruction for your records.


What is a Credit Score?

Many lenders, as well as credit bureaus themselves, also use credit bureau information to generate credit scores. Credit scores are statistical estimates of the probability of default of a borrower based on characteristics available in the information provided to the credit bureau.


What is meant by Credit History?

Credit bureaus compile information on credit repayment records, court judgments, and bankruptcies. All these can be referred to as the credit history of a borrower or consumer.


Who can request a report from a credit bureau?

The following persons can request a report from a credit bureau: A credit information provider. The supervising authority (i.e. Financial Institute of India) The consumer to whom the information pertains


HAVE A COMPLAINT WITH YOUR CRIF HIGH MARK CREDIT INFORMATION REPORT (CIR)?

1. Refer the CRIF High Mark Reference Number in your CIR.
(This is the number present in your CRIF High Mark CIR after the label HM Ref #: in the TOP RIGHT corner of your CRIF High Mark CIR)
2. Send an email to crifcare@crifhighmark.com with CRIF High Mark Reference Number in the SUBJECT LINE
Details about your complaint in the mail such as (Serial number of Account in the CIR, account information being complained, etc.), Your contact number & name
3. CRIF High Mark will send you a Ticket number that you can refer in further discussions with CRIF High Mark.
4. CRIF High Mark shall within 30 DAYS of receipt of your complaint, based on the results of the investigation into your reported complaint, EITHER furnish a corrected CIR to the credit institution which made the original inquiry with CRIF High Mark, in case the reported inaccuracy is due to CRIF High Mark process OR seek corrected credit information, in case the reported inaccuracy is due to data contributed by the credit institution.
5. Once the above process is completed, CRIF High Mark will close the Ticket number corresponding to your complaint. The supervising authority (i.e. Financial Institute of India) The consumer to whom the information pertains
